We see athletes of all ages and sizes, chasing their athletic dreams. We also recognize that the landscape can be overwhelming with the myriad of choices available today before you even start your journey. From training programs, dietary advice, equipment, brands and even social media; there’s so much to distract you before you’ve even looked at your daily life responsibilities as a working parent, or a high school teenager and put together a schedule.

Let us do all the heavy lifting for you and simplify your life so that you can commit to just getting on with chasing those goals. We’re with you every step of the way.

Combining experience, knowledge and some purpose-built AI, we probably have an academy program to suit your goal. Even if it just a stepping stone on a much longer journey. We’re here to keep you on track, remind you of why you started, have some fun along the way and embrace a little bit of discomfort. There’s not growth without a little bit of stretch. You know that. We know that.

Swimming

The swimming academy is headed by Lolly who coaches pool swimming for kids and masters under the AquaAthlete banner from VirginActive in Table View. This academy suits kids that want to stay swimming fit for other sports (decathlon, triathlon, lifesaving) or participate in level galas. We currently have kids qualified from Level 1 through to SANJ.
The masters squad is for the young at heart who are chasing their own fitness or swimming goals across lifesaving, open water swimming, SwimRun, or triathlon. Our members have completed countless Robben Island crossings and other extreme long distance ocean swims, Ironman (both full and 70.3) as well as competed in the pool at masters galas. And there’s always space for our masters who just love swimming for the joy, fitness and friendship.

PlayStrong

If you want to play hard, you need to be strong. And that doesn’t mean you need more muscle than t-shirt (but if that’s your vibe, we got you covered too 😉. You need to be strong through your chosen movement. All sports require a complex co-ordination of musculature and neurology to move efficiently and economically. On top of that, there is the absolute ideal stroke, gait, cadence; and then there’s the absolute ideal for you. And that’s where we excel by helping you find the best movement pattern for your body. Ideals don’t care about old injuries, anatomical genetics, lifestyles or balanced health. We do. We’ve seen too many examples where being fixated on an ideal just leads to further injuries and increased inefficiencies resulting in poorer performance and loss of joy. Our aim is to make your movement strong and perfect for you so you got to enjoy your sport more frequently. Ocean Racing

Our latest academy was recently soft launched with a view to consolidating all our athletes under one umbrella where they can all occassionally train together and learn from each other. Within that academy, our various groups have thrived socially and gone from strength to strength with happy and consistent performance gains.
